Youth Video Contest for the Pacific
Youth of the Pacific: This Is Your Moment
Young people across the Pacific are powerful advocates for healthier communities. The Healthy Youth, Healthy Future Youth Video Contest invites young people aged 16 to 24 to share how they promote healthy living in their everyday lives.
From staying active to caring for mental wellbeing, young people are leading positive change across the region. Through this contest, the United Nations and its partners are highlighting youth voices and inspiring healthier lifestyles throughout the Pacific.
Young people in Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu and Tuvalu are especially encouraged to participate and share how they are promoting health and wellbeing in their communities.
Deadline for submissions: 31 March
What to Create?
Participants are invited to create a 30 to 90 second vertical video (Reel) showing their interpretation of healthy living.
Your video could focus on:
- Healthy eating and nutrition
- Physical activity and sport
- Mental wellbeing and self-care
- Saying no to tobacco and vaping
- Avoiding harmful substances
- HIV prevention and awareness
- Small daily habits that support long-term health
Healthy choices today help build stronger communities tomorrow.
Your health. Your story. Your voice.
Why Youth Health Matters in the Pacific?
Across the Pacific, young people play a critical role in shaping healthier societies. Encouraging healthy lifestyles among youth helps prevent non-communicable diseases, strengthens mental wellbeing, and promotes resilient communities.
In countries such as Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu and Tuvalu, youth leadership and positive health behaviours are essential to building healthier futures. By sharing their stories, young people can inspire peers, families and communities to make positive choices for their health and wellbeing.
